We advise all children to bring a drink with them to have during the session. For our Holiday Soccer Schools a packed lunch is necessary. Participants will also need to have the appropriate footwear depending on the pitch. (check locations tab)
Providing the rain is not too heavy our sessions will continue as normal. If the weather becomes unsafe to play on our Holiday Soccer Schools then children will be taken indoors where they will then take part in an indoor games programme. Only in very rare circumstances will a session be cancelled due to bad weather.
Once a child is signed in to a QPR session then they will be under our supervision and parents do not need to stay. For our Mini Footballers sessions (2-4yrs old) we would normally advise parents to stay.
Every coach at QPR Community Trust will have an up-to-date DBS check plus Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children qualifications. All members of our coaching team will also have a minimum FA Level 2 qualification in coaching football and will be encouraged to attend regular training events to enhance their knowledge of coaching youth football.
For our advanced Soccer Schools we would require at least one member of the coaching team at each venue to hold a UEFA B’ Licence in coaching football plus FA Youth Modules 1 and 2. For any sessions with children aged 2-4years old we would also expect our staff to have had at least two years of experience working within a nursery / school setting with children of this age.
No. With our sessions you are able to select what dates you would like to come and do not have to attend every session of your selected course. Note that prices are higher on our Holiday Soccer Schools if you bring your child on the day of the course.
In the event that the parent/carer is delayed, no child will be left unsupervised. A member of staff will wait with the child at all times and the parent/carer will be contacted on the emergency telephone number provided.
